All-Pro center Corey Linsley has agreed to a contract that will make him the highest-paid center in the N-F-L, although it won’t be with the Green Bay Packers.
N-F-L Network is reporting Linsley will get a five-year deal from the Los Angeles Chargers worth up to $62.5 million.
The Packers wanted Linsley back, but they couldn’t match that deal.
Linsley becomes the eighth center in the league with a contract averaging $10 million-a-season.
He played 734 snaps in Green Bay last season, allowing four total pressures and one sack. He was never flagged for a penalty.
The Packers can expect to receive a fourth-round compensatory pick in the 2022 N-F-L Draft for losing him.
