
Wisconsin sophomore forward Cole Caufield tied the score with a goal in regulation, then won the game with another goal in overtime in Monday’s 4-3 win over Penn State.
The Badgers trailed twice during a tense third period.
Freshman Sam Stange and Ty Emberson scored the other two Wisconsin goals in the semifinals of the Big Ten Conference Tournament, while Goaltender Robbie Beydoun had 43 saves.
The two goals by Caufield in his seventh straight multi-point game give him 27 – nine more than any other college scorer.
Wisconsin meets Border Rival Minnesota for the tournament championship tonight (Tuesday) at 7:00 p-m.
The Badgers won three out of the four meetings between the two teams during the regular season.
