Downtown Manitowoc will be painted green, figuratively anyway, this weekend as they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The City will start off festivities in the downtown area with a pub crawl this evening, which will run through Saturday evening. City Council President Eric Sitkiewitz explained to Seehafer News that there will be drawings for multiple prizes, as well as activities.
Then on Saturday, there will be a parade, which Sitkiewitz explained will “begin at 11:00 AM, with a starting point at the corner of 8th and Washington Street. It will proceed on North 8THto Chicago Street.”
Sitkiewitz said that there is no better place to celebrate the Irish holiday than downtown Manitowoc.
“I look forward to seeing you downtown, enjoying our beautiful city, and experiencing all the activities that the Downtown organization puts together,” he said. “While downtown, leave your car parked and take a walk to explore. I guarantee you will find something you did not know was there.”
More information about all the events happening this weekend can be found on the City of Manitowoc Facebook Page.
