At the Big 10 Men’s Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis last night, it got very tight at the end at Lucas Oil Stadium, but Wisconsin managed to hang on for a 75-74 win over Penn State.
Coach Greg Gard’s club had enjoyed as much as an 18-point lead in the final minutes before the Nittany Lions mounted a huge comeback.
They had the ball in the closing seconds but could not convert. Senior guard Brad Davison got his hands on a loose ball and alertly called a timeout as he was diving out of bounds with the basketball with less than a second left on the clock, preserving both the possession and, the victory.
