A man who allegedly shot and killed another man at the Fox River Mall in Late January before going on the run has pleaded not guilty.
17-year-old Dezman Ellis entered the pleas on both charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety yesterday (March 10th) while in Outagamie County Court.
Ellis is also requesting a change of venue, because he feels he would not get a fair trial due to the publicity of his case in the area. That request will be addressed during a venue motion hearing on May 10th.
Ellis is accused of getting into a verbal altercation with Jovanni Frausto at the mall, before pulling a gun and killing him.
