A disciplinary hearing officer has backed the Cuba City police chief and order one of his officers removed from the job.
It was determined that Officer Kimberly Jackson’s actions last December warranted her departure.
After one discussion with Police Chief Terrance Terpstra, Jackson went home several hours before her shift was over without telling anyone.
She later said she was sick.
Terpstra had accused her of leaving her assigned shift without permission, neglect of duty, and insubordination.
The ruling came at the end of a virtual hearing held Tuesday.
