Guard D-J Carton led four Marquette players in double figures Saturday as the Golden Eagles climbed back to the .500 mark in the last game of the regular season with a 66-59 decision over Xavier.
Carton scored 16 points and Greg Elliott had 12.
Marquette hit almost 54 percent of its floor shots in the Saturday victory, leading by as many as 10 points in the second half.
Marquette is seeded ninth in the Big East Conference tournament that starts Wednesday with a 2:00 p-m game against Georgetown.
Center Dawson Garcia was named to the Big East All-Freshman team.
