Luka Garza scored 21 points and had 16 rebounds as the Iowa Hawkeyes edged Wisconsin 77-73 Sunday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The Badgers lost for the fifth time in their last six games and will be the sixth seed in this week’s Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis.
Micah Potter led Wisconsin scoring with 23 points.
With about 30 seconds left, Wisconsin’s Brad Davison was called for a flagrant foul when he got tangled up with an Iowa player under the Badgers’ basketball.
Coach Greg Gard says the conference appears to have a “Brad Davison rule” and it’s not fair. His teammates say Davison isn’t a dirty player.
Wisconsin’s first game in the conference tournament is Thursday.
