The Wisconsin Badgers tasted defeat for the fourth time in the last five games Tuesday night, dropping a 73-69 decision at Purdue.
The Badgers couldn’t do anything with 7-foot-4 freshman center Zach Edey, who led the Boilermakers with 21 points.
Brad Davison scored 15 and Wisconsin put five in double figures. Foul trouble for Micah Potter and an unusual off-the-mark shooting night for D’Mitrik Trice were too much to overcome.
With a 10-and-9 conference record, Wisconsin has fallen all the way to sixth place in the Big Ten standings.
The next game for the Badgers will be Sunday at Iowa.
