A group demanding the prosecution of Madison Police Officer Matthew Kenny be re-opened block the street in front of the Dane County district attorney’s home Sunday (February 28th).
Kenny shot teenager Tony Robinson to death five years ago. Now, the officer is being accused of perjury during his testimony, and the activist group Black Umbrella Global maintains that perjured testimony is enough to re-open the case.
District Attorney Ismael Ozanne hasn’t talked about that.
The organizer of Sunday’s protest says true justice reform would involve getting people like Ozanne out of power.
Saturday was the six-year anniversary of Robinson’s death.
