If Wisconsin Badgers basketball is hoping to come roaring down the stretch like last season, that’s going to have to happen against some top-flight opponents.
The Badgers looked good while whipping Northwestern 68-51 after holding a team meeting. The theme of the meeting was said to be improved connectivity – and it showed on the court.
Illinois visits the Kohl Center Saturday. The first time those two teams met the Illini rolled 75-60.
Wins in that one and the three games remaining on the regular-season schedule would be a big boost to the Badgers’ resume for the N-C-A-A tournament, likely producing a higher seed.
Saturday’s tip-off is at 1:00 p-m.
