With the N-F-L salary cap forcing some roster shuffling, the Packers are going to need some backups to step up.
Defensive lineman Rashan Gary seems ready. Playing about half as many defensive snaps as Preston Smith, Gary had more sacks and just as many quarterback hits.
Rookie Jon Runyan Junior played only 160 offensive snaps, but he showed enough to become a starter – maybe at center or guard.
And, A-J Dillon’s 124-yard, two-touchdown performance against Tennessee makes the potential loss of Aaron Jones or Jamal Williams – or both – some the Packers can survive.
