The off-season is again construction season outside Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The Packers are relocating a 400,000-gallon wastewater tank to make room for some expansion. The new site for the tank is on the south side of the Johnsonville Tailgate Village building.
Project managers say the work should be done by July.
Lambeau Field isn’t allowed to discharge wastewater directly into the sewer system when it hosts large events – like 80,000 fans at an N-F-L game. The storage tank holds the wastewater until it can be released into the municipal system under control.
Other work at the Packers facility includes the replacement of the turn at the Ray Nitschke practice field near the Don Hutson Center.
