School teachers and child care providers are about to join the list of people eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Wisconsin.
The Department of Health Services said teachers will be the first in Phase 1-b to receive the shot on Monday. Many school districts are waiting for teachers to get vaccinated before re-opening. DHS says while teachers will be eligible on March 1st, there’s no guarantee there will be enough doses to get them vaccinated next week.
Nearly half of Wisconsin residents over age 65 have received the vaccine.
