The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association has announced its 2021 Hall of Fame induction class, and a local play-by-play announcer has made the cut.
Damon Ryan of WOMT Radio was included in the list of inductees in the “Friend” category.
Damon began his radio career calling high school basketball games in 1973, before moving to Manitowoc in 1977, when he began calling the Manitowoc Lincoln Ships games.
The local radio legend has also been honored by Lincoln High School, as in 2018, he was added to the Wall of Fame in the JFK Fieldhouse.
A Hall of Fame Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, September 25th at the Glacier Canyon Lodge of the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
