
The North Carolina Tarheels basketball program didn’t want an open date.
When Boston College said it was going to have to postpone its game against the perennial power, Marquette was contacted and the Golden Eagles will hit the court in the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill.
Marquette (10-and-12) is a solid underdog in the road game tipping off tonight (February 24th) at 6:00 p-m.
The 14-and-7 Tarheels are undefeated in eight games on their home court.
The last time the two teams met was almost 10 years ago in March 2011 – with North Carolina whipping Marquette 81-63 in the Sweet 16 of the N-C-A-A tournament.
