State investigators have been called in to investigate an officer-involved shooting in Brown County.
Officials are reporting that the incident occurred at around 1:30 AM on Sunday (February 21st) when a vehicle drove into the Oneida Tribal Police Department parking lot. The individual then reportedly got out of the vehicle and was acting erratically.
Dispatchers inside the building called for officers to come to investigate and gunfire was exchanged between the parties.
Details about what lead to the exchange have not been released.
The subject is being treated at a local hospital for gunshot injuries, while the officer was not hit.
