The struggling Marquette Golden Eagles (9-and-12, 5-and-10 Big East) will try to put an end to a three-game losing streak during a visit to Butler tonight (fEBRUARY 17th).
The game represents the midway point for the current five-game road trip.
The last time coach Steve Wojciechowski’s team won a game was a 70-67 decision over the Bulldogs at the Fiserv Forum February 2nd. Marquette’s third loss in-a-row was Sunday’s 57-51 decision at Seton Hall.
D-J Carton led the Golden Eagles will 16 points, but the team’s shooters were off the mark, for the most part, hitting just 30-percent from the field and only 12-percent of their 3-pointers.
Justin Lewis has missed the last two games with a sprained ankle, and it isn’t known when he might return.
Tipoff for tonight’s game is 5:30 PM.
