
It was a busy weekend of officers in the Manitowoc Police Department, as three people were arrested on drug possession charges in the city.
The first arrest occurred at Festival Foods just after 6:00 PM on Friday (February 12th). Officers were called to the store on a report of a shopper acting erratically. Officers located the 43-year-old man in the organic food aisle jumping up and down and sweating profusely.
He was taken to a squad car, where he passed out. He was revived and taken to Holy Family Memorial.
He has since been charged with Possession of Fentanyl, Disorderly Conduct, and two counts each of Misdemeanor and Felony Bail Jumping.
The second arrest occurred in at around 2:20 AM on Saturday, as the result of a traffic stop. The vehicle’s plates came back as expired, so the officer pulled the vehicle over in the area near the intersection of North 8th and Maple Streets.
The 31-year-old man was arrested on charges of Possession of a Schedule 1 or 2 Narcotic Drug, and Drug Paraphernalia.
The third incident occurred just before 5:00 PM on Sunday, when an officer pulled a vehicle over for speeding. A passenger in the vehicle was noted as acting nervous and was a known drug user.
The 29-year-old man was found in possession of Methamphetamine and was arrested. He was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Bail Jumping.
