A partnership between Alliant Energy and Johnsonville Sausage will allow the local sausage powerhouse to make even more of their products in Sheboygan County.
Johnsonville is working out a plan to adapt the former Wigwam Mills facility in Sheboygan for sausage production this year, with full operations expected in 2022.
This expansion will also bring with it 75 well-paying jobs to the area, and grid improvements by Alliant will improve electricity supply to surrounding employers and the community.
Alliant has teamed up with numerous local and state economic developers to secure 730 new jobs for Wisconsinites last year.
