Former Marquette standout Sam Hauser has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Hauser averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 rebounds-a-game in victories over North Carolina State and Pitt. He put up a season-high 23 in the win over the Pitt Panthers Saturday.
The Stevens Point native is leading the Cavaliers in scoring at 15.4 points-a-game and rebounds at seven-a-game. He and his brother entered the N-C-A-A transfer protocol after last season.
Joey Hauser is averaging 10 points and seven rebounds-a-game for Michigan State after transferring there.
