When Joe Barry was defensive coordinator for the Lions and Redskins his teams were known for forcing fumbles.
They ranked in the top-10 for takeaways and sacks in two of his four seasons.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur announced Barry as Green Bay’s new defensive coordinator Monday, along with the promotion of Maurice Drayton to special teams coordinator.
Drayton has been the team’s assistant special teams coach for the last three seasons. He worked with kicker Mason Crosby this season, helping the veteran complete a record-setting campaign with no missed field goals in 16 attempts.
