Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency are sending $47-million to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to cover some of the costs of vaccinating people.
The federal money is considered an advance payment of reimbursement costs.
The funding is intended to increase access to the vaccine for Wisconsin residents.
State Emergency Management Administrator Darrell L. Williams says the $47-million will “go a long way” toward supporting the ongoing response to COVID-19.
