General manager Brian Gutekunst says there was no trade offer on the table that would have sent Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the Rams.
Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters Monday that Rodgers will be Green Bay’s quarterback for “years to come.” When asked if there is any scenario where the team would consider trading the future Hall of Famer, Gutekunst said, “Absolutely not.”
LaFleur says he has a strong relationship with Rodgers, even though number-12 disagreed with the late-game choice to kick a field goal in the 31-26 loss to Tampa Bay.
Former Packers offensive lineman T-J Lang has another take, saying Rodgers was quietly angry when the team drafted Utah State quarterback Jordan Love – and he will demand a new deal for more money in the not-too-distant future.
