Investigators with the Racine County Sheriff’s Office say 30-year-old Matthew Vinz killed his parents last week, then shot himself to death.
The bodies of 65-year-old Terrence Vinz and 62-year-old Debra Meagher were found hidden in the garage. They had apparently been there for a long time.
Deputies made the discovery while conducting a welfare check last Friday.
They say they heard a single gunshot as they arrived at the location in the Village of Rochester, so they took a tactical position and set up a perimeter.
The body of Matthew Vinz was found in the home’s basement.
