The Wisconsin men’s hockey team never trailed while taking a 4-1 decision at Penn State Thursday night.
The Badgers have won three straight and five of their last six.
Ty Pelton-Byce broke a scoreless tie for Wisconsin in the first period and Mathieu De St. Phalle doubled the lead less than four minutes later.
Cole Caufield and an empty-net goal by Dominick Mersch completed the Badgers’ scoring. Caufield has scored at least one point in seven straight games.
Coach Tony Granato’s squad had a pair of power-play goals.
Goaltender Cameron Rowe remained undefeated in four starts by stopping 45-of-46 shots.
The Badgers and Nittany Lions wrap up the series today (Friday) at 5:00 p-m.
