The newest Brooklyn Nets player James Harden combined with Kevin Durant on the game-winning bucket as Milwaukee dropped a 125-123 shootout Monday.
Harden and Durant produced 64 points and 18 assists together while he Bucks big three of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday put 81 points and 17 assists in the books, but Brooklyn won with star guard Kyrie Irving still inactive.
Holiday did a solid defensive job on Harden, but the big lefty took over the game every time Holiday took a rest.
Harden arrived in a trade last week and his presence means finally winning the N-B-A Eastern Conference title just got even harder for the Bucks.
Milwaukee begins a three-game homestand Thursday when the Los Angeles Lakers come to the Fiserv Forum.
