You can anticipate a change at the top of this week’s U-S-C-H-O women’s hockey poll after Wisconsin swept Minnesota last week.
The Badgers won Saturday 6-3 after blanking the Gophers Friday night 5-0.
Brette Pettet and Daryl Watts each had a pair of goals for the Badgers. Scores by Lacey Eden and Britta Curl completed the offensive effort.
Wisconsin’s record improves to 6-and-2 overall and also in the W-C-H-A.
The 11 goals scored by the Badgers in the two-game series against their rivals is an all-time high.
Wisconsin has won eight of the last 12 games against the Gophers, including one tie.
The Badgers travel to St. Cloud State for games Friday and Saturday.
