A pair of college basketball games were postponed Sunday for the U-W men and Marquette women.
It was the first postponement of a conference game this season for both teams.
The Badgers athletics department says Sunday’s game against Penn State was postponed based on a mutual agreement between the programs “due to health and safety concerns.” The game will be rescheduled.
The Badgers are resuming practice today (Monday) before a home game against Indiana Thursday. That suggests the outbreak of COVID-19 isn’t in the Wisconsin program, though no official announcement was made.
Marquette was supposed to host DePaul Sunday. The Golden Eagles women’s program has paused all team activities after a recent positive test result for COVID-19.
