Dane County has committed another five-million dollars to what officials are calling the “food emergency” in southern Wisconsin.
The county signed an agreement Wednesday to extend its working relationship with the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. Dane County has already spent eight-million to help the foodbank buy and distribute groceries to people in need.
Dane County Executive Joe Parisi says more people are in need this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
