A Manitowoc-based Registered Dietitian says with the ongoing pandemic we may be reaching for those comfort foods a little bit more than normal during this holiday time.
Abbey Bubolz tells SeehaferNews.com, “Some of those traditional foods that maybe our family recipes or tradition are important to us, and a lot of those foods tend to be more high calorie and not high in nutrition content.” However, she added, “It’s okay to have some of those things and enjoy those. Where the most impact is the day to day nutrition and not losing sight of including fruits & vegetables, eating regular meals & if we do that often times we make it through the holiday season just fine even with enjoying desserts and treats.”
Bubolz advised people to get proper sleep, be aware of healthy eating and exercise & those all tie in to overall good health.
