The Milwaukee Bucks wiped out a 17-point deficit in Boston Wednesday night, only to lose on a Celtics 3-pointer in the final second 122-121.
Giannis Antetokounmpo hit a free throw with four-10ths of a second on the clock, but he missed the second one that would have likely sent the game into overtime.
Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 33 points. Antetokounmpo scored 18 of his game-high 35 points in the fourth quarter. Khris Middleton had 27 to go with 14 rebounds and new point guard Jrue Holiday scored 25.
Boston may be the biggest threat to Milwaukee’s campaign for a third straight N-B-A Eastern Conference title.
The Bucks host Golden State Christmas Day at 1:30 p-m.
