Micah Potter did most of the damage when the Wisconsin Badgers were scoring 16 straight points in the second half of a 67-53 win over Nebraska Tuesday.
The game was the Big Ten Conference season opener for both teams. The Badgers had endured their worst-shooting first half of the early season before picking up the victory. The ice-cold U-W shooters were scoreless for the first four minutes, 43 seconds of the game at the Kohl Center.
Brad Davison led Wisconsin (7-and-1, 1-and-0 Big Ten) with 15 points and he pulled down seven rebounds. Aleem Ford had 13 points and Potter contributed a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Wisconsin plays at Michigan State on Christmas Day.
