A woman who provided the heroin that caused a fatal overdose is going to prison for three years.
Adriana Gast was sentenced in Outagamie County Circuit Court Monday. Gast had entered a guilty plea to a charge of first-degree reckless homicide. She had asked for a prison sentence to help her cope with her addiction and mental health issues. Gast provided the drugs that caused the fatal overdose suffered by Andrew Van Boxtel on November 25th, 2019.
She got the drugs from Eric Buchanan – who goes on trial in February.
