The attorney for former Milwaukee police chief Alfonso Morales says Monday discussions with the city ended with no resolution.
Attorney Franklyn Gimbel says the two sides aren’t close to any settlement.
The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission demoted Morales last August.
Last week, a judge reversed the commission’s decision saying it violated Wisconsin statutes and the chief didn’t get a fair hearing.
The commission had intended to announce the name of a new chief this month.
That seems less likely now, even though the interim chief is retiring and a new interim chief has been named.
