It was a celebration. For a little over two hours, Milwaukee’s Hoan Bridge was lit blue-and-white, the colors of the Greek flag, in celebration of Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo signing a supermax contract.
The agreement announced Tuesday means the 26-year-old forward will be with the Milwaukee Bucks for at least the next six years.
The five-year extension is the biggest in N-B-A history, paying him more than 228-million dollars.
Antetokounmpo’s salary in the final season of the deal will be 51-million.
Promptly at 7:00 p-m Tuesday night, the lighting was changed back to honor the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Hanukkah celebration.
