The Federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team’s Delta-1 squad has set up operations inside the Marshfield Clinic.
Members of the squad normally are deployed after tornadoes and hurricanes. This time they will be helping the hospital staff distribute the first round of COVID-19 vaccines. Crew members are based in Mississippi and Louisiana and will remain in central Wisconsin for about a week.
The Marshfield Clinic is a distribution hub for the Pfizer vaccine. The first shots will be given this week, but a specific date hasn’t been announced.
