Madison police say two witnesses quickly jumped into action Saturday morning when they saw a car go out of control on a snow-covered ramp off HWY 12 to S Park St, bounce over an embankment, and into a retention pond.
Those two pulled the driver out of a sinking car at about 7:45 AM Saturday.
When police arrived, officers say the vehicle was almost completely submerged, with only the driver’s side door visible.
The driver wasn’t injured and hasn’t been identified by police.
