The Brown County Court has ordered the man who allegedly stabbed a Police K-9 last year to receive mental health treatment.
31- year-old Sai Vang claims to be competent enough to stand trial, but a psychiatrist disagreed.
Judge Timothy Hinkfuss has ordered that Vang receive more treatment and that another psychiatric review will be performed before the next scheduled hearing, which is on February 9th.
Vang is facing charges including Causing Injury to a Police Animal after he allegedly stabbed K9 Pyro during an incident on April 7th, 2019. The criminal complaint claims Vang told police he stabbed the dog out of instinct because he is scared of the animals.
