Emergency responders in Columbia County have recovered the body of a 52-year-old worker at Didion Corn Mill in the Village of Cambria.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was called shortly after 9:00 AM Tuesday about a missing employee.
Authorities were told he had been working in and around a corn silo in a confined space. Several hours of searching finally revealed the body in the corn bin. The Waupun man’s name hasn’t been released.
The sheriff’s office is working with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on the case. Nearly a dozen agencies were involved in the search and recovery operation.
