The Wisconsin men’s basketball team still has one scholarship available for next fall, after signing forward Taylor Currie Wednesday. The 6-8 Currie is from Clarkston Michigan, and he backed out of a verbal commitment with his home state Wolveries in late October. The Marquette men’s basketball team picked up two newcomers on National Signing Day — Joey Hauser from three time Division One state champion Stevens Point, and Brendan Bailey from Utah who’s the son of 12 year N-B-A veteran Thurl Bailey. New U-W Milwaukee men’s coach Pat Baldwin picked up three new players — high school senior Shae Mitchell from Lakeview Minnesota, and Mineral Area College teammates Zach Cameron Chodes and Fabio Soehnel, who will each have two years of U-W-M eligibility. Seymour High School guard Hailey Oskey signed with the U-W Green Bay women.
