
The U-W-Green Bay Phoenix dropped their home opener Saturday afternoon with a 93-91 loss to Eastern Illinois in double overtime.
Amari Davis scored 20 points to lead Green Bay which had five players in double figures.
The Phoenix lost despite hitting 51 percent of their shots and 12-of-25 3-pointers.
The Phoenix are off to an 0-and-3 start.
If coach Will Ryan’s team is going to win its first game it will have to do it against a Marquette squad that just upset the Wisconsin Badgers Friday 67-65.
Tuesday’s game at the Fiserv Forum will tip-off at 8:00 p-m.
