Senior quarterback Jack Coan could be available to play in Saturday’s home game against Indiana.
Coach Paul Chryst hasn’t said whether Coan will be used.
Coan suffered a foot injury October 3rd and had surgery four days later. He has returned to practice with the Badgers and has been cleared to play if needed.
The last game Coan played in was the Rose Bowl against Oregon.
Redshirt freshman Graham Mertz has taken over with Coan sidelined. He was outstanding in two victories, then struggled as Wisconsin dropped a 17-7 decision at Northwestern.
Coan started all 14 games last season for the Badgers.
