Bail is set at $2000 cash for a 49-year-old Manitowoc man facing a litany of charges from an incident last weekend.
Brian M. Bell is charged with Operating While Intoxicated-Seventh Offense, Threats to Law Enforcement, Disorderly Conduct, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and 10 Felony Counts of Bail Jumping.
Police were called to Brian’s Smokehouse last Saturday afternoon on a report of Disorderly Conduct. A witness says Bell was recently fired from the business and asked for his final paycheck which had already been issued to him. That’s when Bell began yelling obscenities and threatening a female employee. Bell fled and was eventually located outside Late’s Restaurant in Manitowoc where he was taken into custody after admitting to being at Brian’s Smokehouse.
As he was being put into handcuffs he threatened to rip out the throat of an officer.
Conditions of Bail are that Bell has “no contact” with Brian’s Smokehouse or the victims, he is not to operate a motor vehicle and must maintain absolute sobriety. He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for December 7th at 1:30 PM.
