A Manitowoc man is facing charges after he allegedly drove drunk and threatened law enforcement.
Officers were called to Brian’s Smokehouse on Washington Street at around 3:15 PM on Saturday on a report of disorderly conduct.
A witness to the incident told police that the 49-year-old suspect, who was recently fired, had entered the business and asked for his final paycheck. When the woman told him she had already paid him, the suspect began yelling obscenities and threatening her.
The man, who smelled of intoxicants, eventually fled the scene in his truck, and officers found him outside of Late’s restaurant. He admitted to being at Brian’s and was placed in handcuffs.
He then told an officer that he was going to “Rip your (expletive) throat out.”
The man is now facing his 7th OWI on top of charges of Threats to Law Enforcement, Disorderly Conduct, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and 10 Felony charges of Bail Jumping.
