The Wisconsin women’s hockey team blanked Ohio State Saturday to claim a split of the weekend series.
Sophie Shirley had two goals in the 5-0 win and goaltender Kennedy Blair posted a save by stopping 28 shots.
Freshmen Maddi Wheeler and Makenna Webster worked together to put the Badgers up 1-0 in the first period.
Additional U-W scores came from Britta Curl, Dara Greig, and Shirley’s two goals.
Wisconsin continues its four-game road trip next weekend with a series against the Minnesota Gophers starting Friday.
