Jobless rates increased slightly in Manitowoc and Manitowoc County last month.
Numbers released by the State Department of Workforce Development show that the city had an unemployment rate of 5.3% up from 5% in September and October 2019’s number of 2.9%. Manitowoc County’s jobless rate last month was 4.3% -an increase from 3.9% percent in September and 2.8% last October.
Preliminary October 2020 unemployment rates show an increase in all 12 state metro areas and all but three of Wisconsin’s 34 largest cities and eight of the state’s 72 counties.
