
Valders overcame an early 6-point deficit and the Vikings went on to a 39-to-32 win over Plymouth in the season opener for both girls’ basketball teams last night.
Valders broke away from a halftime tie and held the visiting Panthers to only 12-points in the second half.
Two girls in double figures for the host Vikings: Kendra Hickman had a game-high 11 Karissa Hammel chipped in 10.
Plymouth was led by Zada Pankow and Ava Booth with 8-points apiece.
Valders also won the JV game 49-33.
