
The Green Bay Police Department has arrested a man they believe to be responsible for firing a handgun while several others looted a downtown gas station.
28-year-old Leo Marques Austin is now facing several charges including First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle Towards a Building or Vehicle, and Disorderly Conduct.
The incident occurred at the Marathon gas station on Walnut Street on the evening of May 31st following a day of peaceful protests. Video and witness statements indicated that a blue sedan drove up and Austin fired a total of between 7 and 9 shots.
An investigation led officials to Austin, who was arrested on Sunday. Police say he was cooperative.
