With the 2020 N-B-A Draft one week off, Marquette’s all-time scoring leader is saying he’s not too small to play pro basketball.
Markus Howard has been called the best pure shooter in college basketball since Steph Curry by some scouts, but there are questions about his stature.
He’s listed as 5′ 11″ and 180 pounds and calls the worries about his size “ridiculous.”
He’s being projected as a likely second-round draft pick. He and his brother Jordan have been working out all summer, both of them putting up 500 or more shots each day.
In one workout for N-B-A, he connected on 73-percent of his 3-point shots over a five-minute period in what was called an endurance drill.
